broken toe

I fractured my toe by hitting it on my footboard of the bed.my question is do i have to wear the hard shoe at all times? And should i let my doctor know my toe has been going numb?

Yes, let your doctor know your toe has been going numb. Not sure what you mean by hard shoe but I'm guessing this is likely protection for your toe.
