Hi,

I fractured two toes. They were swollen and black. The color has gone away. I know there is nothing to do for a toes - went to dr yesterday and he taped them. I am walking in "ugg" like boots and my toes is throbbing. Is there a better shoe that will take off the pressure from my toes?

Any shoe or sandal which reduces pressure on the toes is better. Taping is generally the best thing for fractured toes to ensure they heal in a correctly aligned position.

Make sure the taping is not restricting your circulation. Throbbing is normal initially, however, this should gradually subside as healing continues. If it is too uncomfortable, ask your doctor for advice on pain relief.
