Sever’s disease is an overuse injury where the growth plate of the heel becomes inflamed. Another name for the condition is calcaneal apophysitis. Your grandson can obtain complete relief with the right treatment.

Here is a link to further information on Severs disease which includes a standard management program: Sever's disease and heel pain in children.

Severs disease is generally a simple problem to treat and we typically see our patients achieve complete pain relief within a period of 2 to 4 weeks with the right treatment program.
